What Veildoc looks for

Real redaction, not a black rectangle on top
Many “redacted” PDFs still contain the original text under the black box. Anyone can select it, copy it or search for it. Veildoc removes it.

What this means for the final file: the redacted PDF looks and prints exactly like the original, but its text can no longer be selected, searched or copied — that applies to the whole document, not just the covered parts. It is also larger (typically 200–600 KB per page). Keep the original for internal work, and share the redacted copy.

Questions
Is the redaction really irreversible?
Yes. The exported file is built from flat page images with the black boxes already painted in. The original text layer, fonts and metadata are not carried over, so there is nothing underneath to recover. Veildoc re-opens every exported file and confirms it contains zero characters of text.
What changes in the downloaded file?
It looks and prints the same, but no text can be selected, searched or copied anywhere in it, and it is larger than the original. Links, form fields and bookmarks are not kept. That is exactly what a document you share with third parties should be.
Can the AI miss something?
It can. Handwriting, low-quality scans and unusual formats reduce accuracy. That is why you review every page before exporting, can search any word and redact all its occurrences, and can draw boxes by hand over anything else. You are responsible for checking the result before sharing it.
Does it work with scanned documents?
Yes. Pages without a text layer are read with text recognition that runs on your own device, in Spanish and English. Accuracy depends on scan quality.
What is a credit?
One page processed. A 12-page contract uses 12 credits. Blank pages, and pages the detection engine could not process, are refunded automatically. Reviewing, adjusting and downloading are free.
Where is my document processed?
The PDF is opened in your browser and never uploaded. Only the extracted text of each page is sent to our server, which passes it to an AI provider to identify personal data and then discards it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Are payments real?
Not yet. This site is in demo mode: the checkout is simulated and no card is charged. Plans, credits and limits work exactly as they will when billing is switched on.
